Nineteen of Medvedev's twenty-one championships have been achieved on hardcourt
A revitalized the Russian player claimed his maiden trophy for over two years with a win over opponent Moutet in the tournament championship match.
The athlete, a ex- top-ranked player, has experienced a difficult season, achieving just one win at the Grand Slams and experiencing a setback at the American major.
His unpredictability on the ATP Tour - and struggles with his serve in particular - led to him exiting of the top ten and eventually separating with former mentor Gilles Cervara.
Currently training with his coach and Goetzke, Medvedev has gradually advanced in the past month - peaking in a tightly fought 7-5 4-6 6-3 victory over challenger Moutet.
This represents the player's initial championship since the Italian tournament and maiden on a hardcourt since March of 2023.
Victory also indicates he has won 21 championships at 21 distinct events.
"It's the first time I am participating in a event with my two daughters at once, so to win a trophy is really nice," said ranked player the champion.
"This victory is in dedication of my second daughter my daughter, because the first title I won when my child her name was delivered was for her."
The tennis star, the former major winner, had lost his last six championship matches, featuring in the German tournament earlier this year.
The player's defensive play style and recurring outbursts on court had caused commentators to doubt if his capacity to play at the top level was over.
Yet the player has implemented adjustments in the last few weeks, striving to come to the net and perform assertively, backed up by an enhanced serve.
He came back from a disadvantage in the opening set against the difficult Moutet, winning four of the last five games to take the lead.
Both players exchanged break points in the middle set before the Frenchman, striving for his maiden ATP Tour title, gained dominance to create a final set.
Moutet rescued four early break points in a tight deciding set before the champion secured a break to that score to serve for the match.
Fittingly, the winner secured victory with a shot at the front of the court, with his opponent failing to manage a volley after over two and a half hours.
